The Young Women’s Christian Association will lay the cornerstone of the Blue Triangle Club, its new boarding home at Harrison Blvd and Twenty-sixth street, Sunday at 3 o’ clock. A ceremonial has been arranged in which leaders, past and present, will participate. Three members of the first board of directors will be guests of honor. They are: Mrs. C. H. Chamberlain, Mrs. J. R. Amos, Mrs. Eliza Wolfenden, Miss Eva Powell, and Mrs. Grace Fisher Richards of Saratoga, past presidents, will have a part in the exercises.
Dr. R. E. Brown, pastor of the First Congregational church, will be the principal speaker. Mrs. Miles E. Fox, president, will review the history and development of the Association boarding homes, of which the Harrison boulevard building is the third. Prayers will be offered by Dr. H. O. Breeden, pastor of the First Christian church, and Dr. Alexander Allen, rector of the Saint Paul’s church. Girls of the Blue Triangle Club will give the musical program.
The new boarding home is to be a five-story fireproof structure, which will be equipped with modern conveniences. It will accommodate 160 young women. Miss Emma Palmer will be house mother.
