Lake Merritt Lodge is a
92-room full service Micro Unit facility, catering to some of our most vulnerable citizens in Oakland.

In 2013, Mahnaz Khazen, a real estate developer with a passion for urban revitalization, together with her partners, came across an historic but derelict building in Oakland and saw great potential. The result was a year of extensive renovations to the building which led to the revival of the historic Lake Merritt Lodge to its original beauty and purpose.

A Sturdy Building Which Has Stood the Test of Time

Over the past century, our facility has housed many thousands of people of different ages and backgrounds, helping them along their journey. Today, we are doing the same—with seniors.
